My SECRET to creating galleries that tell your story...

The Bean Family is one of a kind. They are the kindest, sweetest people you will ever meet! I met them at their home because they wanted to do photos in the space they spend so much of their time in. I was on board 100% and so we took a few in the front with their beautiful home, under their beautiful trees where the kids had hopped on the swing and then we moved to the backyard. The Bean family is a sports fam and so we captured them doing the things they love to do most, soccer and volleyball! These kids were showing off their mad skills and having so much fun!

I love to create photos that reflect each family and tell their story. One of the ways I do that is by using prompts more than poses. One of my favorite prompts I like to use is having the kids run to mom and dad and tackle them with a bear hug. Before the Bean family, I had only ever done this with smaller kids but I thought why not, these kids clearly love their parents so much and are up for anything. Let's just try it. And my gosh, they ended up being some of my favorite photos by far! It reminded me that even when kids have grown up some they are still little kids at heart and running to mom and dad was still just as fun! Maybe even more so because they actually had a chance at tackling them haha. Using prompts gives you some direction but allows for each family to make it their own. Other prompts I like to use are "who is the most ticklish?", "kids run around mom and dad while mom and dad share a moment", "walk towards/away from me together as a family." My prompts generally create movement which helps everyone relax and look natural, getting some of the best photos!

I had the best time with the Bean family and I hope you enjoy checking out their family photos below!
